Cut Congressional Pay

We the people hereby petition the President to cut base congressional salary to $100,000.
The 112th Congress, a disappointment that refused to promote the goals of the American people, was paid a minimum salary of $174,000. We request the salary of the 114th Congress to be reduced to $100,000, in accordance with the 27th Amendment. We acknowledge this salary to be large, but hope a 42.5% cut in congressional pay will spur the 113th Congress to put aside the childish antics that marked the 112th.
We also request the modification of Executive Order 13635 to exclude members of Congress from the pay increase.
We trust the President to ensure that Congressional pay is reduced, as their poor performance cannot justify their compensation in the eyes of those they answer to - the American people.
