The United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon addressed the Security Council today and called for “decisive steps” toward protecting health care facilities and personnel during the conflict in Syria.
100 children were killed in Syrian hospitals today and 400 people have been killed in the last week. Airstrikes are targeting hospitals and civilian sites. The Secretary General noted these are war crimes, and he described them as worse than how an animal is treated in a slaughterhouse.
These tragedies are perpetuated by the Syrian government or its allies. We, as a nation, should do more than condemn these actions with mere words.
Press the President, Congress, and Secretary of State Kerry to end cooperating with any nation that is aiding Syria perpetuating these war crimes.
