The American People hereby petition the government of the United States of America to immediately reduce elected officials pay by 20%, to include the President and Vice President, and members of Congress and Senate.
Ok, we know you won't cut your own pay to do your part to reduce the deficit (even though you have no problem cutting military and Veterans benefits while freely handing over hundreds of millions of dollars in international assistance). During the next election cycle, the American people demand an immediate 20% pay reduction for all elected officials as an item to vote upon on the ballot.
Mr. President, let the people vote. We are tired of the ineffectiveness and inefficiencies of our government. Pay should be based on performance. And you are failing miserably!
