The GOP wants to cut entitlements yet they don't go after the entitlements that they receive without paying for.
Social Security & Medicare are programs that average working people pay for by law not choice, Since paying for it is a mandate, receiving benefits should also be a mandate. If all Americans including Congress are mandated to pay into SSA & Medicare, and the lifetime cap is removed, SSA & Medicare would be secure forever.
If SSA & Medicare is good enough for Average Americans, it should also be good enough for our elected officials, The amount of tax payer dollars given to Congress alone would pay off our National Debt.
