Cut Federal Aid to Welfare States that Refuse to Spend Federal Aid on the Poor

Created by R.M. on April 10, 2015

States like Kansas, Mississippi, and Alabama take a lot of money from the federal government--far more than they put back in the pot. However, rather than use this aid to benefit their citizens, they simply pocket the cash and pass laws to keep poor people out of their swimming pools.

Since these states believe that limiting aid decreases a culture of dependency on the government, we should help them put their beliefs into practice.

Cutting aid to these red-ink welfare states will help them stand on their own two feet and decrease their dependency on the government.

Jon Stewart's take on the matter is below.
