Some states provide grants to communities to pay for shooting ranges. In my state, grants are made through the Wildlife Service.
Regardless of where the state gets the money to provide grants for shooting ranges, the federal government should cut federal funding equal to the amount of grants made by the states for this purpose, or any other funding of anything related to shooting.
We ask the President to make this idea part of his federal task force discussion in order to send a strong message to states that our government will not support states that provide financial support for an activity that contributes to killing people by guns.
