Cut foreign aid to Uganda in response to their new law that criminalizes homosexuality, punishable by life in prison.

Created by K.S. on February 24, 2014

The United States spends in excess of $490 million in foreign aid to Uganda. Their new law that criminalizes homosexuality, with punishment up to life imprisonment, is an affront to freedom, liberty, human rights, and basic human dignities. The United States was founded upon these principles, and we should strive to encourage other nations to uphold these principles as well. It is unconscionable to continue to spend this significant amount of money on a nation that so vehemently rejects these things that we hold dear.
