Funding has been cut from our military, resulting in such things as cessation of breakfast being served "due to budget cuts", tuition assistance being suspended or canceled, military personnel being sent out on patrol with no ammunition, to name only few things making a travesty of our armed forces.
This proposal suggests that full funding be restored to all branches of the military by reducing the amount of money being spent to feed prisoners and provide them with luxuries our military personnel do without.
Prisoners should be required to work within the prison system to earn money, or use personal funds accumulated prior to incarceration, or have their families pay for their meals, cable, or access to the internet and education.
