Cut funding towards welfare, and instead put the money toward raising the federal level minimum wage to a fair payment.

Instead of having people who sit back and collect welfare checks to provide for their families, they should be out working and earning an income. If we raise the minimum wage to a fair $9.50, the people will have more money to live off of, and at the same time they will be receiving less income from welfare. This will cause people to either work for their money or not thrive.
