Cut Government Officials' Income

We the people of the United States wish to declare the right to cut Government Officials' Income based on the fact that they are not performing their duties according to what we the people want. They should not get payed during times they go on recess. Congress has continually given themselves pay raises while Americans are losing jobs. We demand that government officials take a pay cut during times of economic recessions and depressions. We wish that our Senators and Representatives would act responsibly with our money and take a substantial pay cut. Therefore, we petition that each official position in Congress takes at least a 40% pay cut.
