We spend nearly a trillion dollars on our military, money that could be used for more important issues. If would take just a few million dollars from our military budget and put it somewhere else, (Education,Renewable Energy,The Sciences, Our dwindling economy etc.), our country might be able to comeback as a nation and out of this economic disaster we currently reside in.
