Cut the nuclear weapons program, not essential services like public education and safety.

Created by C.A. on December 18, 2011

Stop the absurd spending for nuclear weapons (which are outdated and useless in post-Cold War times) and invest in public education, which is sliding quickly in global rankings, clean energy, public safety and other essential, positive services for the people of this country.

The maintenance of one nuclear weapon for one year costs as much as paying for 400 children to receive a four-year college education.

Similarly, we could buy 99,000 square feet of solar panels for that same cost.

The U.S. alone has over 8,400 nuclear weapons.

That's over 3,360,000 children sent through college.

Your move, President Obama.
