As Americans are forced to reduce our spending and find ways to be more fiscally responsible, all of our elected officials should have no qualms in accepting a reduced salary while being given the honor to serve as a representative of the people of the United States of America. The money saved should be used to assist in the creation and development of an integrity & accountability council, comprised of five individuals from each state. Each of the five being registered voters, whose income falls within 1 standard deviation of state median, having not previously held office, randomly chosen from a pool of volunteers, and entrusted with the ability to impeach & then recommend for removal any official found to be acting in violation of the constitution or in an ethically questionable manner
