Cut the pay check of the Senate and House of Representatives instead of those that can't afford it.

Created by E.G. on March 08, 2013

The basic member of the Senate or House of Representatives makes roughly $174,000 a year, the special position such as the Speaker of the House and the President pro tempore of the Senate makes $223,500 and the majority of minority leaders in the House and Senate make roughly $193,400 a year. That comes out to be around a total of roughly $94,059,700 a year to pay for a government that does not keep in mind of how their decisions affect the citizens. If both the House of Representatives and the Senate would take a cut of $25,000 per person a year it would save a total of $13,450,000 a year for the government.
