the founding fathers consider it an honor and a privilege to serve in public office, and never intended for it to be a paid position. I don't see any reason why Congress and Senate should be getting paid as much as they do. I suggest that we cut their pay to 52,000 dollars a year maximum. I think this is fair and is above the average income in the United States, if we are expected to live off of this amount and less then they should be too. if they are truly there to serve our country then they will have no problem with this.
