We all the know the government must reign in spending and increase revenue to balance the budget. The time has come for our elected officials to work together and overhaul and simplify our tax structure, eliminating loopholes and lowering rates to stimulate the economy. I believe congress should be compensated according to their performance . The time has come for congress to lead by example. The republicans are demanding specific spending cuts and here is a good place to start. I DO REALIZE THAT MANY TAX PAYERS BELIEVE THIS FIFTY PERCENT PAY REDUCTION WOULD STILL BE OVERCOMPENSATION.
