Cut the pay of those in top government positions so that they can lead from the front in these tough economic times.

As the nation moves through tough times, it has come to my attention that congress still receives six figure incomes. How can people who do not experience hardship with the people they govern truly understand the plight of the people? Due to this, I ask you Mr. President to introduce a bill to congress. The bill I ask for would set congressional pay at 150% of the state average of each congressperson's respective state. I would ask that the President make 150% of the national average. I know that your job is hard; however, I feel that this would give government a chance to work for what is best for the people because as the nation improves congressional pay would as well. I also ask that you use the media to publicize this bill because without a spotlight no change will times made.
