Cut the president's, congress's, and their staffs pay by 5% to help pay for deficit & vital services for the struggling

We the people have had our taxes raised to cover the deficit. People are hurting in these tough economic times, and to raise taxes is making it worse. State and federal agencies that provide aid are making it more difficult for those struggling to survive. Our government has done little to clean the mess up so we feel that they should be held accountable. Lower their pay by 5% to help pay the deficit, and lower our taxes. When the deficit has been eliminated we the people will discuss raising the President's, Congress's, and their staffs salaries again.
