To cut salaries for all Congress members in the same manner our government is cutting down on military salaries.

Created by C.N. on February 27, 2014

In our current economic crisis, we believe that everything rises and falls on leadership. Any cuts to government salaries should start with those who are directly responsible for creating the problem to begin with, not those that have volunteered to sacrifice their lives, if need be, to protect the Constitution and way of life of the USA.

Keeping in mind that when Congress was formed, it was an unpaid position of *honor* and *service*, we propose that Congress may only be allowed to receive annual raises equal to or less than the annual raises of our military service members.

It is understood that this decrease in Congressional salaries will not solve the entire debt issue, but no one solution will. We only ask that this be included in the many plans being implemented.
