Cut the salaries of elected officials

Created by M.A. on April 23, 2013

The current base salary of a US senator or House Representative is $174,000. In this year there are only 126 days that these officials are required to be in session. That's less than half of the year.

Being an elected official is a civil service and should not be used as a lucrative career. Please cut the salaries of our elected officials to be more in line with what typical Americans are earning.
