cut United States Congress' annual pay by 50%

Created by B.K. on March 04, 2013

Currently, a US Congressman makes $174,000 per year. Senate leadership is paid $193,400 per year. The Speaker of the House makes $223,500 per year.

Our President makes $400,000 a year plus a $50,000 expense account... a $100,000 nontaxable travel account... and $19,000 for entertainment purposes.

All of their salaries are funded by us, as taxpayers.

These are just random figures I found online with a quick search.

This is just the starting point for their salary since, as we all are aware, they receive the best medical care and retirement benefits available in addition to whatever other income they receive from other sources.

Our leaders are not leaders at all. They could care less about We The People and helping the public. They care more about their paychecks, and their positions.
