Cut wasteful, duplicate spending by forming a subcommittee within the House Committee on the Budget.

The House Committee on the Budget states in their Oversight Plan that their priorities include reviewing reports from the GAO and Offices of the Inspectors General, as well as finding ways to "reduce waste, fraud, and abuse in government agencies." Year after year, the GAO finds several instances of wasteful, duplicate spending, yet, the Committee on the Budget seems to be very ineffective at addressing these problems. I am petitioning for the formation of a subcommittee within the Committee on the Budget whose sole job would be to evaluate and implement solutions to reduce or eliminate duplicate spending.
