You have in your power to declare, by executive order, that cannabis become legal and de-scheduled by the DEA. Currently, the United States is forced to import the industrial hemp currently being used by various businesses. The United States used to be a hemp/cannabis powerhouse. We must become this great powerhouse again. However, this time we won't be making ship sails and lines for British warships.
In 2017, cannabis could become a boon to the economy worldwide. The United States has already legalized cannabis in some form in 29 states. Recently, even the semi-conservative state of Florida legalized medicinal cannabis as well. Please take this as a suggestion to improve the country's economy and create millions of new "green" jobs.
