Having cannabis on the DEA's Scheduled Drugs List in any way whatsoever is one of the worst decisions ever made by the United States government and has ruined the lives of countless people at home and abroad. Therefore, we implore the Obama Administration to act unilaterally and completely REMOVE cannabis from the Scheduled Drugs List by Executive Order. Cannabis has been shown to be less dangerous than many commonly-used legal substances, such as caffeine and alcohol and the research has been available on this at least since the British Indian Hemp Commission Report in 1894. Many research findings since then have shown that cannabis is not harmful, but actually beneficial in many respects for most people. This problem is only political, and can be solved by a brave President.
