We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

The DEA must require pre-existing clinical reports to justify the scheduling of a drug.

Created by J.B. on December 14, 2016

This petition is to protect American civil liberties from unjust mandated drug scheduling by the DEA. This petitions requires that the DEA must support their scheduling with pre-existing clinical reports and cite them from a legitimate source. A great example is recently the DEA has mandated CBD (cannabidiol) extracts as a schedule 1 substance, meaning that this substance has a high potential for abuse and that it has no currently accepted medical use in treatment, but CBD doesn't meet the criteria for such a substance and is in fact proven in clinical trials to be used as an anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and treat severe neurological disorders such as epilepsy all while being non-addictive.
