Solar Storms are going to peak in mid 2013 according to NASA, and if anything has taught us anything, solar storms create solar flares which could knock out earths power grid/electrical equipment for months and even years.
A dead power grid means destroyed generators. Destroyed generators mean no backup power for nuclear power plants. No backup power for nuclear power plants means a massive fukushima like event all over the USA. With no power to pump water into the reactors we will experience massive meltdowns and all of the US will = Chernobyl.
So please, Obama Administration, give us a fighting chance and don't allow a mad max world to exist.
