The USA has had a history of sending its troops to Caribbean and Central American nations to help stabilize these nations. The USA (and the UN) should act to maintain Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador as "protectorates" long term. In this way, this military action would have immediate impact on a humanitarian crisis that is directly affecting the USA.
