In dealing with coal ash issue in NC if the US Government is going impose fines on them it will just increase our power bills. What they needs to do is instead of fines is to force the power company to reduce the power rate to all customers and prevent them from firing or reduce pay to any employees outside management. I think the saving on the power bills to all the federal and state office would save more money in the Federal and state budget than the increase from the fines and help everyone in the service area affected and the only people hurt are the owners and management of the power company that are responsible for the issue and not the consumers or the labors.
