We the People of the First Nations respectfully request that the case against Leonard Peltier be fully inspected and reviewed for false, misleading information and that the witch hunt precipitated by J.Edgar Hoover was illegal and immoral.
We only ask that the case against Mr. Peltier be fully investigated using current technologies and forensic science. It is our belief that the FBI conducted it's investigation with the intention to root out what it thought was a seditious and anti-government organization in the American Indian Movement (AIM).
However, it is our contention to advise the United States Government that AIM in the 1970's period only sought to allow the Lakota people of the Pine Ridge Reservation freedom from the tyranny of it's then Tribal Chief Richard Wilson.
