Death Penalty is a waste and wrong.

Created by M.M. on December 08, 2014

Death penalty is cruel and unusual punishment. Therefore, it is unconstitutional. This violates the 8th amendment. This also violates the 14th amendment. It takes away their citizen rights and protection from any law. This punishment includes discrimination on the basis of race, gender, and social class. Death penalty is not effective in any way. The person that is performing the death sentence is basically murdering the criminal. Cases with death penalty cost up $1.26 million whereas cases without death penalty cost $740,000. That money can be spent something else like education. To kill someone that killed someone close to one another will just continue the cycle of violence.
