The penny is very simply a leech on our economy. It's wasteful to mint, fails at expediting simple trade, and is almost valueless.It's time we stopped minting the penny. Finland, Australia, The Netherlands and New New Zealand all got rid of their penny in recent years saw no increase in prices or donations.
