Debate the president of the NRA in a public, televised forum.

A journalist has made the (excellent) suggestion that President Obama (no proxies, please) debate the president of the NRA in a live, public, televised forum. This would give the leaders of both sides of the gun regulation debate an opportunity to put forth, in a rational, controlled way, their respective arguments for and against, in addition to discussing the true meaning of the Second Amendment and most importantly, possible solutions to the crisis we find ourselves in. We're looking for meaningful dialogue that will inform and enlighten those on both sides--and motivate them to continue this dialogue among themselves in constructive ways. We feel that rational discourse has been missing from this issue but is absolutely necessary in moving forward to 'never again.'
