This is an important issue to consider as it is a sticky wicket. Our credit is affected, making it harder to recover from recessions. Many of us are underemployed. At the very least, we should have the opportunity to work off some of our debt part-time as younger loan holders do. No one should go into retirement with student loans as a burden on social security.
