I strongly disagree with the changing the name of the sea, located between korea and japan, as the sea of japan although you have not decided yet.
Firstly, the east sea was belonged to korea since the world has born. Therfore, it is very unfair if you change the nameof the sea just to prevent some conflicts.
Secondly, the sole reason why japan wants the name of the sea to be the sea of japan is the small island located on the sea. The small island named dokdo has been secured and protected by korean armies for centuries. But this island has many good fishes around, which makes japan want this island and technically, the sea itself.
