declare that the 10th of January of every year be styled "States'-Rights Day"

Created by D.E. on September 24, 2011

WHEREAS, the U.S. Constitution effected on the 4th of March, 1789, did acknowledge that our Republic is forged upon an enduring compact of the States, and that

the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution firmly declares that "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people", and that

our heritage is based on colonies of unique charters that formed governments of their own, and that

the Declaration of Independence states that “these United Colonies are, and of right ought to be Free and Independent States”, that the focus is on the word States and not one state.

Therefore, we the undersigned do petition Pres. Obama to declare the 10th of every January "States'-Rights Day".
