It is recognized that military families often have pets that are a integral part of the family structure. Often these pets provide comfort for family while a service member is deployed. As part of the military community many families move over the course of a military career. Family pets can be subject to both local and state regulations in regards to BSL(breed specific legislation). No military housing should be subject to BSL and families already giving so much should not be required to give up a family pet due to a miltary move. All military housing should not ban specific breeds, that all breeds can provide valued comfort to military families. To force a military family to give up a family pet only adds to stresses on military families unnecessarily.
