Declare August to be National Mens' Health Awareness Month.

Created by C.C. on November 21, 2012

Issues surrounding mens' health are important to the success of the nation. A healthy workforce is a productive workforce, something Obama recognized when he proposed Obamacare.

Currently, there is a well-intentioned, but misguided attempt to shoehorn a mens' health initiative onto November. November is a crowded month, and trying to slap a moustache-growing campaign onto all the family dinners in Thanksgiving is both awkward and makes for bad family photos.

August, on the other hand is a month with no national holidays and no major monthlong initiatives. "August" also makes a much better portmanteau with "moustache". "Augustache" is objectively exponentially better than "Movember". Please, Mr. President, we urge you to make this a reality.
