Reid has secured federal funding for Varian to work with the Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and was influenced by Varian lobbyists to reduce payments by 58% for Elekta technology reimbursement. The provision gave Varian an unfair advantage causing reduced reimbursements to Elekta AB which were approved and pushed through by Mr. Reid and should be thrown out.
