Declare convicted felons a protected class from housing and work discrimination with full protection under federal law.

Created by A.F. on January 09, 2013

MOST CONVICTED FELONS ARE EVENTUALLY RELEASED.

Many seek employment and housing but are denied.

Denying a felon an opportunity to become productive through work and housing forces that felon to the fringes of society where they can't be seen and likely to re-offend.

Deny a pedophile a job at a school: FAIR!
Deny a pedophile a job at a factory: UNRELATED AND UNFAIR!

The denial of housing and employment should be fully related to the crime. Anything outside of that is a contribution to further crime. Let them work, support their families, contribute to society, and correct their lives for the sake of all citizens.

Denying a released felon, who has paid their debt, an opportunity to be a productive member of society IS DISCRIMINATION AND UN-AMERICAN!
