Declare Creationism and Intelligent Design Religious Doctrines

An increasing number of public school boards are voting to teach creationism (or intelligent design) in classrooms. Both are religious doctrines, and not accepted by the scientific community. Teachers who are not members of the Christian religion (as well as many who are members), are forced to teach a religious doctrine they do not believe in instead of science. Children are forced to learn this religious doctrine and robbed of the scientific education they deserve to have. Parents who are members of more liberal faiths or are nonbelievers are forced to watch their children taught someone else's religion. These arguments are draining our communities. Labeling this a religious doctrine and it would make it easier for local schools to focus on education instead of politics.
