declare CVN-65, AKA the USS Enterprise, the world's first nuclear powered aircraft carrier, as a National Landmark.

The USS Enterprise, CVN-65, has started the process of "going dark" before being dismantled sometime in 2016 or thereafter. The Big E was the world's first nuclear powered aircraft carrier, thus presenting one of many reasons she should be declared historical & saved from the scrapyard: Technological innovation. We the people, who have signed this petition, would like President Obama to save that glorious ship,declare it historical, turn it into a museum dedicated to the Navy,especially the crew members of the Enterprise since her first sail in 1960.
