Declare the day after the Super Bowl a national holiday. All public schools and non-essential govt offices closed

Regardless of their interest in sporting events, Americans of all ages gather around the television each year on Super Bowl Sunday to celebrate a pastime that is uniquely American. Because the game can last well into the night, attendance is poor both in schools and at places of employment the next day, and those that are present are not alert. As a result, there is an increase in motor-vehicle and job-related accidents, and productivity declines both in the office and in the classroom. The closing of public schools and all non-essential offices the day after the Super Bowl in recognition of a national holiday would limit such instances and afford families an opportunity time to spend valuable time together
