We lost 20 innocent lives on this day due to multiple failures. Failure to identify such a disaster early, failure to protect the campus from evil minded people, failure to secure firearms from getting to these people.
Declaring this day as "Protect our schools and kids day" will keep reminding us of what we should keep doing day in and day out to secure the future of these innocent lives.
