Declare December 14th a National Day of Reflection and Remembrance for Victims of School Gun Violence

Created by M.D. on December 17, 2012

We petition the Federal Government of the United States of America to declare December 14th of each year henceforth a National Day of Reflection and Remembrance and to observe a Moment of Silence for the many victims of school gun violence. The victims should include students, teachers, and other school administrators whose lives have been lost, and forever changed, by senseless acts of violence. We should also honor those students, teachers, and administrators who gave their lives so that others, their students, and our children, should live. Further, we request that the government seek to create a memorial in our nation's capitol dedicated to those who perished seeking a better education, or by trying to provide such an education to others.
