Declare December 14th a permanent official National Day of Remembrance for all victims of violent crimes in the USA.

Created by M.D. on January 07, 2013

lt is only fitting and proper with the hideous loss of so many innocent school children and instructors on this past December 14th at Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, CT that one day become a permanent national day of remembrance for those killed as well as all other persons in the US who are victims of violence crimes. The date should be held as a solemn day for prayer, reflection and to annually recommit ourselves as a Nation to do all in our power to eliminate the conditions that place the US at the top of its citizens especially its children who are victims of violent crimes. The actual holiday should be held on the Sunday closest to December 14th

The date should be a Federal and State Holiday for the entire nation and be forever called "Sandy Hook Childrens Remembrance Day”
