Its about one of the only 2 islamic recommended celebrations in the world. Eid al-adha is an occasion when we celebrate Prophet Abraham's fulfillment of God's command as he was being tested for the strength of his faith in God; for him (Abraham-peace upon him) to slaughter his son. All faith agree on this event. so, it will be a good thing to make it a holiday.
