The petition advocates the importance of religious equality. the government recognizes Christmas and other religious holidays, closing schools and other government-run services. There are 2.5 million Muslims in the United States that do not have the day off during the holy day of Eid after the 30 day period of Ramadan. This petition will allow the millions of Muslims across the country to have their holy day recognized and can hopefully be the next step to reaching full religious equality in the United States.
