Statistically speaking, the least productive day of the year for the country is the day after Super Bowl. The best idea to improve productivity would be to either mandate a national holiday for the Monday after the championship game or change the game to Saturday. It's been said happy workers, happy customers. According to research, millions of dollars are lost in wages due to people calling out of work, arriving late to work and conversing about the game throughout the work day. Service businesses such as restaurants, bars, caterers, car services and food suppliers will increase their revenues due to extended hours of availability. The country should continue to promote small businesses and family, through changing the day of the game or declaring the Monday after a national holiday.
