We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

declare Election Day 2016 a national holiday

Created by K.R. on May 30, 2016

Voter participation is everything. Many people cannot vote because they have to work. Those that do often find themselves waiting in long lines, and sometimes don't even get to cast a ballot. declaring Election Day a holiday will facilitate voter turnout and help counteract new voter ID laws that are designed, or work, to depress turnout. Isn't the right to vote what America is all about?
