We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Declare election day to be a National Holiday in order to encourage all citizens to vote.

Created by E.T. on October 19, 2016

Voting is a critical duty of all US Citizens and ensures the proper functioning of the Republic. By declaring Election Day to be a National Holiday, the administration would ensure that the importance of the day is enshrined in law and remove practical barriers to voting for some Citizens. Election day should be cause for celebration as we exercise our ability to self-govern.
